Scania expands its offering in Japan

After five years selling tractor units in Japan, Scania has now expanded its offering to include rigid trucks. Rigids account for more than 80 per cent of the Japanese truck market.

For the past five years, Scania Japan has delivered a range of tractor units, including heavy-haulage
trucks. The company has now decided to expand its offering to rigid trucks, the largest truck market segment in Japan.

The first product to be launched is a G 410 6×2 box body truck featuring Scania's award-winning 410 hp Euro-6 engine with SCR only.

"The product we are introducing has performed extremely well in Europe and I am confident that its combination of performance, reliability and ergonomics will add value for our Japanese customers," said Johan Lunden, MD, Scania Japan.
