Michael Kamper, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK, has been appointed Head of Marketing, Sales & Customer Services for Daimler Trucks Asia, effective from March 2015. This new position is part of the top 100 Executive Management team of Daimler AG.

Kamper (49) joined Daimler-Benz in 1995 and enjoyed two stints in management roles at Mercedes-Benz UK, firstly from 2001 to 2004 as Marketing Manager Trucks, and from 2012 until now, as Managing Director Commercial Vehicles (2012-2013) and Managing Director Trucks (2014).
"Over the last two and a half years Michael's passion, enthusiasm and drive have helped move the truck business forward and I'm certain that in his new role, Michael will continue to 'deliver the goods' to his own high standards to a new group of customers," said Gary Savage, CEO, Mercedes-Benz UK.
"In January 2014 Mercedes-Benz UK restructured into three divisions, and Michael, with sole responsibility for Mercedes-Benz Trucks, including the FUSO brand, built a team of dedicated and highly capable Truck professionals, who in-turn focused on delivering an unsurpassed level of service to our Mercedes-Benz UK's Truck customers."
Acknowledged as a leading truck industry authority with expertise in international sales and customer experience, Michael Kamper was previously based in Germany and had responsibility for Daimler Trucks' International Key Account Management and oversaw International Account Management for commercial vehicle body builders.
"I'm absolutely delighted to take over responsibility for Head of Marketing, Sales & Customer Services for Daimler Trucks Asia, focusing on brands FUSO and Bharat Benz," said Michael. "We have an outstanding organisation in this region which serves our customers the best standards in providing technologically advanced products and outstanding customer care."

A new Managing Director Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK will be announced mid-January 2015.
