Hyundai Motor America reports six per cent growth in August sales

Hyundai Motor America announced an all-time August sales record of 70,003 units, up six per cent versus the same record-setting period in 2013 and only the second time ever the company has topped the 70,000 mark.

"Sales continued to gain momentum as the
month progressed and we finished the Labor Day holiday weekend strong," said Bob Pradzinski, Vice-President of National Sales, Hyundai Motor America. "The all-new Sonata, Genesis and our CUVs played a big role in helping us score a record August."

Hyundai's Santa Fe and Tucson CUVs recorded sales increases of 15 and 35 per cent, respectively, while the Sonata (up 25 per cent) and Genesis sedans (up 15 per cent) continued their impressive roll-outs.
