Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London appoints Martin Williams as Sales Director

Reporting directly to Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London's Regional Managing Director Peter Groome, Martin will be working with the Sales and Driver Development team to increase sales of transport solutions via the company's eight Dealer points in and around London,
from Milton Keynes to Croydon and from Didcot to Bedford. Although he will be based at the region's head office in Hayes, Martin will spend most of his time with customers.

Martin Williams has been with Volvo Trucks for almost ten years, starting as a Used Trucks Sales Executive based in Coventry, then Avonmouth for a total of four years. He then worked for four years as Used Trucks Dealer Development Manager, until his appointment as a Dealer Development Manager for the south of England, a position he has held for the last two years.

"I will be looking to recruit two new Transport Solutions Executives for Croydon and Didcot and focus on talking to new customers, especially those who operate trucks in the lighter weight categories. I am also anxious to get in front of some of the customers we may have lost over the last few years to see what we can do to win back their business," said Martin.

Martin reports that overall business levels at Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London are currently healthy. He describes enquiries for new trucks and transport solutions in particular as 'very strong'.

"Although the Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London team is relatively young in terms of Volvo experience," he further added. "They are now a couple of years into the Volvo way and their hard work is starting to pay off."
