Laura Parker has rejoined the Ford Press Office team to lead van communications following her successful university placement with the 'Blue Oval'.
Laura has taken over the best-selling Ford commercial vehicle range from Dan Jones, who has been promoted
to large car communications manager in Ford's European Public Affairs team providing maternity cover.
As well as covering the all-new four-vehicle Transit line-up, Laura will deal with the new executive people movers in the range - Tourneo Custom and Tourneo Connect - Fiesta Van and Ranger pick-up - as well as the Focus Electric.
Laura graduated last month from the University of Birmingham, where she studied Business Management. Her course included a 12-month placement with Ford Public Affairs, working with both the European and UK teams on motor shows, Goodwood and other product and corporate projects.
"I'm really pleased to join Ford to work with as popular a range as Transit - now spanning baby Courier, Connect, Custom and up to the two-tonne Daddy," said Laura. "The new models have kept Transit and Transit Custom at the top of the CV sales charts, so it is an exciting time to resume working with Ford colleagues, our vehicles and media."
Laura joins Charlotte Ward, Linda Craddock, Paul Wilson, Bob Wright and Oliver Rowe in the Product team. The Ford corporate news team, led by Brian Bennett, also includes Dan Alcock, Christian Brown (maternity cover), Paul Harding (heritage) and Guy Willers (admin) - with all directed by Tim Holmes.
