Hyundai Motor America post sales of 67,407 vehicles in June 2014

Hyundai Motor America posted its best June ever and the best opening six month period in its 28-year history. Sales of 67,407 were up four per cent versus the same period a year ago and up one per cent over last year's record performance for the first six months of the year.

"As we settle into the summer selling season, we are well-positioned with our full model line up, including the all-new 2015 Genesis sedan and Sonata, both of which experienced gains for the month, up nine percent and 30 percent, respectively," said Bob Pradzinski, Vice-President of National Sales, Hyundai Motor America.

The sub-compact Accent saw sales gains of nine per cent for the month and 16 per cent for the year. Other highlights include Equus, up 28 per cent for the month and up 16 per cent for the first six months of the year and Santa Fe, up 17 per cent for the month and 26 per cent for first the six months of 2014.

Certified Pre-Owned vehicle sales were 7,324 a June record, up eight per cent over June 2013 and up 23 per cent for the first six months.
