Honda confirmed a number of changes to its UK PR operation. Karen Parry joins the team as Manager - Corporate Communications, responsible for defining and developing Honda's PR communications strategy for the car, motorcycle, power
equipment and motorsport divisions. Karen has over 25 years automotive PR experience gained in-house with Seat, Ford, Mazda and Volvo and, in recent times, out-of-house as a freelance operator for a number of automotive clients.
"I am absolutely delighted to be joining Honda at such an exciting time, with several new model launches in the pipeline, including the highly anticipated Civic Type R and the iconic NSX supercar, as well as the return to Formula 1. I'm hoping I can also find time to join the two-wheel lifestyle. My lawn stripes are already courtesy of a Honda!" said Parry.
Tara Berry, with immediate effect has been promoted to Social Media Manager. Tara has pioneered and continues to lead the ever important social media activity for each of the Honda divisions.
Two new students have also joined the team for a year placement as part of their degree programmes at Bournemouth University. Tillie Smith will work with the car and corporate team while Monique Clarke will work across motorcycles, events and social media. After a successful year Dev Mistry will be returning to Bournemouth University at the end of August to finish his studies and everyone at Honda wishes him well.
The communications team are looking to recruit a maternity cover PR Communications Manager (Car & Corporate) and a full time PR Communications Manager (Motorcycles).
Rebecca Stead continues to head up the Corporate Affairs team responsible for communications and events for the car, motorcycle, power equipment and motorsport divisions.
