The first Unimog featuring Euro-VI technology has now been handed over at the production plant in Worth am Rhein to its new owner from Winsen/Aller. The vehicle is a Unimog U 423, finished in municipal orange and equipped with a 170 kw (231 hp) engine, which is now all set
to be put to work by Rosinsky Dienstleistungs GmbH. The vehicle will be deployed to tackle winter maintenance duties on behalf of municipal authorities in Lower Saxony. When the cold season comes to an end, the snow plough and salt spreader will be dismantled and replaced with an 'embankment landscaping unit'. With the aid of this device, the Unimog is able to build embankments at the sides of new roads by gathering together gravel and earth and compacting it. In addition, the vehicle will also be put to use on behalf of municipal authorities and road construction companies throughout Germany.
