US sales for both brands hit 6,661 units, a 40 per cent increase from 4,756 in August 2012.
This month marks the best Land Rover August retail sales month ever and best since 2005 for Jaguar. Year-to-date through August, Jaguar Land Rover North America is up 18 per cent, with Jaguar up 30 per cent and Land Rover up 14 per cent.
"It is an incredibly exciting time for Jaguar and Land Rover retailers and we are thrilled that the current pattern of strong sales performances for Jaguar Land Rover has continued," said Andy Goss, President, Jaguar Land Rover North America. "A 40 per cent increase over last August is extremely creditable and shows the impact of our recent model launches of Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and F-Type."
