July's SMMT figures show that Mitsubishi Motors remains the UK's fastest growing car brand of 2013. In the first 7 months of the year, Mitsubishi Motors passenger car registrations are up by over 40 per cent.
In July total sales for the brand were up 45 per cent
(including the L200 which is classed as a commercial vehicle). Most of this volume increase came from retail customers, where July registrations are up by 65 per cent on 2012.
The new cars in the range, Mirage and Outlander, have played their part in this sales increase. Every car in the Mirage range boasts emissions figures of 100 g/km of CO2 or lower, meaning no road tax is payable. Designed from the ground up to be as environmentally friendly as possible, it's fresh, funky and eye-catching too. The new Outlander has class-leading emissions and fuel economy, while comfort and refinement levels have been significantly enhanced over the previous model.
Sales of the award-winning L200 pick-up truck were also up. It is the number 1 best-selling retail pick-up. Sales to date are up 22 percent on last year.
"So far 2013 has been an exceptionally good year for us. We are naturally delighted that so many people have chosen Mitsubishi as their next vehicle," said Lance Bradley, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK.
