Infiniti has announced that Simone Piattelli Palmarini will head up public relations for Infiniti EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). Based in Rolle, Switzerland, and reporting to Fintan Knight, Vice-President of Infiniti EMEA, Piattelli Palmarini takes up the reins as Public Relations
Manager on September 1, 2013 - the start of what will be one of Infiniti's busiest-ever periods in Europe.
Known to many in the media for the four years he spent as corporate and product communications manager at Ferrari, Simone Piattelli Palmarini is an experienced communications professional who has worked across a spread of sectors. He began his career as a journalist writing for national newspapers in Italy.

"Simone's wide-ranging experience and premium-brand emphasis makes him exactly the right person to get our messages across and share with everyone the energy, innovation and passion that is driving Infiniti forward."

After his studies in political science at Cesare Alfieri University in Florence, Piattelli Palmarini began his career as a freelance correspondent for La Repubblica, later becoming a magazine Editor-in-Chief. He first moved into corporate communications as a Press Officer with Piaggio. He joined Pirelli as Media Relations Officer before moving to Ferrari in 2000 where he was responsible for coordinating the product and corporate media activities of Ferrari worldwide. Since 2004 Piattelli Palmarini has worked in Senior Corporate Communication roles in the industrial, gaming and tobacco sectors.
Simone Piattelli Palmarini is married and lives in Switzerland. Born in Florence, he is fluent in Italian, English and French.
