Skoda starts production of the new Octavia in Ukraine and Kazakhstan

The new Skoda Octavia is now also rolling-off the production lines in the Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The Octavia, which is being produced with local partner companies, is the most requested Skoda model in both countries. The third-generation of the Skoda best-seller
is particularly impressive in terms of space, functionality and safety as well as being excellent value for money.

"The Skoda Octavia is the heart of our brand and after the start of production in our home plant in Mlada Boleslav, we are also starting production at other locations," said Michael Oeljeklaus, Skoda Board Member for Production and Logistics. "The Octavia is Kazakhstan's and the Ukraine's most popular Skoda model. Now, by starting the local production of the third-generation Octavia in both countries, we aim to continue this success story."

Prefabricated car bodies from the Czech Republic are imported for the SKD production of the new Octavia in Kazakhstan and the Ukraine. The assembly takes place on site.
