Volvo Canada appoints Matt Girgis as Chief Financial Officer

Volvo Canada announced the appointment of Matt Girgis as Chief Financial Officer for Volvo.

Girgis holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the Schulich School of Business, York University with a specialisation in finance and accounting. He also has extensive experience in the industry from past positions at the BMW Group and previously Volvo Canada where he held various roles within the finance organisation.

"Given Volvo's new competitive product lineup and strategy, I am excited for the positive growth potential," said Matt Girgis.

He will report directly to Marc Engelen. Girgis will join the ranks of Volvo Canada at the new head office in Richmond Hill. He will work to further strengthen the executive management team in Canada by implementing specific financial plans and analysis parameters in line with Canadian policies. He will also oversee accounting and administration duties while executing corporate development to ensure long term growth strategies are met.
