Management changes at Daimler AG

Daimler AG is making several changes to its management. On June 1, 2013, Philipp Schiemer, currently Head of Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Cars, will take over the management of Mercedes-Benz do Brasil (MB Bras). MB Bras is a Group company with headquarters
in Sao Paulo. Schiemer will succeed Jurgen Ziegler, whose contract will expire as scheduled.

At the same time, Wolfgang Hanle, who has been Head of Production at Daimler Buses for more than ten years, will take over a newly created position, in which he will serve as Head of Production for the two Brazilian facilities in Sao Bernardo do Campo and Juiz de Fora.

On June 1, 2013, Holger Steindorf will succeed Hanle as Head of Production at Daimler Buses.

Marcus Schoenenberg, who is currently Head of Aftersales Technology MB Cars & smart, will succeed Steindorf and take over responsibility for Procurement Trucks & Buses on June 1, 2013.

The management team of Daimler Buses will be reinforced by Gustav Tuschen, who will take over responsibility for Development on July 1, 2013. Tuschen will transfer from the Daimler subsidiary Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Company (MFTBC) in Japan, where he is responsible for Product Strategy and development. He will be succeeded in this position by Aydogan Cakmaz on July 1, 2013. Cakmaz currently holds a similar position at the Group's subsidiary Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), which operates the BharatBenz brand.

The changes to the Bus management team are subject to the approval of the Supervisory Board of EvoBus GmbH, the ones at Fuso by the shareholder committee.

"Comprehensive, interdivisional expertise and and internationality are key elements of Daimler's management culture. That's why personnel changes such as those that will soon occur in Brazil and in the commercial vehicle sector are by no means unusual. All of the managers in question have done a great job in their current positions, and I'm certain that they will continue doing so in their new areas of responsibility. I wish all of them great success in their new positions," said Andreas Renschler, the Daimler Board of Management member responsible for Daimler Trucks and Daimler Buses.
