Riding on the grand success of the first National HOG Rally and 110th anniversary celebrations in Goa, Harley-Davidson India announced further expansion of its Completely Knocked Down

Motorcycle enthusiasts across the country will now have another reason to experience the thrill of leisure motorcycling with the Fat Boy, Heritage Softail Classic and Fat Boy Special. Previously offered as Completely Built-Up (CBU) imports, these models will now be assembled at the Harley-Davidson facility in Bawal, Haryana.
"After the incredible participation and enthusiasm at our National HOG Rally and India Bike Week events, we are excited to accelerate our plans to expand our CKD line-up and are proud to lead the development of leisure motorcycling in India. The Fat Boy, Heritage Softail Classic and Fat Boy Special have been embraced by our customers due to their outstanding riding performance, classic cruiser styling, and now we can offer them at even greater value. At Harley-Davidson India, we continue to adopt and invest in strategies that make our products and ownership experience accessible to more enthusiasts and customers across the country," said Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India.

Our CKD operation allows us to contribute to local investment while also reducing the tariff burden for customers across India. With our announcement today, nine of the 12 models in our India line up are now being assembled in our India CKD facility, which will give our customers reason to celebrate," Prakash added.
