"We completed the first round of 500 bookings of Audi Q3 within just five days of its market launch in June last year. Never before has any luxury SUV received such an overwhelming response as the Audi Q3. In keeping with our top-down strategy, the Audi Q3 truly embodies the 'Q' DNA with the quattro permanent all-wheel-drive and S-tronic dual clutch transmission, which are just some of the features that it inherits from the highly successful Audi Q7 and Audi Q5. I am confident that the addition of this powerful 2.0 TFSIq engine will further delight the Audi enthusiast who is constantly looking for more power and an even more exhilarating drive," said Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India.
The Audi Q3 2.0 TFSIq with 155 kw/211 hp reaches a maximum torque of 300 nm between 1,800 and 4,900 rpm and develops its power evenly, leading to a fascinating driving experience. In combination with the standard seven speed S-tronic, the four-cylinder unit accelerates the Audi Q3 2.0 TFSIq from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds with a top speed of 230 km/h. The start-stop system in 2.0 TFSIq enhances efficiency bringing it to 11.72 km/l.
"India is a market full of young aspirants who want to make a statement about their individuality and keeping that in mind we introduced the Audi Q3 last year. Going by the phenomenal response that the Audi Q3 has raked up since last year it is clear that it is a hot favourite with the young go-getters that want a slice of the Q life. The award winning 2.0 TFSIq engine on the Audi Q3 resonates dynamic and powerful performance which will further spur the demand for our SUV range in India," added Perschke.
