As of December 1, 2012, Thomas Owsianski (45) has become the new Head of Marketing at Skoda Auto. He followed Axel Schroder (44), who will assume the position of Head of Marketing at Volkswagen Brazil.
Thomas Owsianski possesses long-term international
experience in senior sales and marketing positions in the automobile industry. Prior to his switch to Skoda Auto, he worked as the Chief Marketing Officer for Opel/Vauxhall and was responsible for the marketing activities of both brands. Before that, the 45-year old Owsianski worked in various managing positions at GM and Ford in Germany, Hungary and Russia, among others. Owsianski studied economics.
The previous Head of Marketing at Skoda, Axel Schroder, will assume new responsibilities within the Volkswagen Group and become the Head of Marketing of the Volkswagen brand in Brazil. Schroder worked several years at Skoda Auto and enjoyed significant involvement in the development of Skoda's new corporate identity.
