Volvo appoints Wakefield as its new Sales Director

Volvo Car UK has announced the appointment of Jon Wakefield to the position of Sales Director, effective October 22.

Wakefield joins the business from Fiat and Alfa Romeo where he was sales director. He will report to Volvo Car UK managing director Nick Connor.

Prior to working at Fiat Group, Wakefield worked within the Mercedes-Benz division of Inchcape and was Sales Director at Daimler Chrysler Retail and for the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands. He is also no stranger to Volvo as he worked for the brand as a regional manager earlier in his career.

"We are entering an exciting time in Volvo's product life cycle and Jon's strong manufacturer and dealer group experience will prove a great asset in building sales volumes," said Nick Connor.

Jon Wakefield commented, "Volvo has a strong product range which provides a great platform for future sales expansion. We have a strong dealer network and I look forward to working together with our dealers to reach new buyers."
