MicroCity, a concept of intelligent traffic systems, is the mobility centre which makes using passenger vehicles in cities easier and more appealing for customers. With the MicroCity, Volkswagen is able to position itself with customers and cities as a partner for an intelligent form of urban mobility. The MicroCity offers car and trip sharing included with intelligent parking management, charging of electric cars, short term rent of cars and electric two wheelers along with other future mobility solutions.

The design model of NILS is a single-seat electric concept vehicle that offers a glimpse of a new form of minimalist mobility. The NILS project is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development, and is designed to be both technically realistic and economically feasible. The Pavilion also showcases vehicle production within a closed energetic circle by reusing all resources and the CSR projects undertaken by the Volkswagen Group across the globe.
