Pipe Werx has released a comprehensive range of bolt-on cans for the 2012 Kawasaki ZZR1400. Thoroughly revised for this year, the 200 bhp machine employs a bulky 13 kg twin silencer set-up as standard. The heaviest option (stainless) from Pipe Werx replacement
cans save 6.9 kg and choosing carbon fibre increases the weight drop to just over 8 kg.
Starting at just £290 (plus £10 delivery) for the two cans, the British performance motorcycle exhaust company offers 35 performance and weight saving options in total for the ZZR so that most rider preferences and budgets are accommodated for.
The three models of can offered are SL (street legal), GP3 and Race. These can all be built in round, oval or tri-oval shapes in five different sleeve options; stainless steel, powder black (stainless), carbon fibre, titanium or colour titanium.
The SL (£290 - £530) can option is BSI stamped for road use and is installed with a noise-reducing baffle. Complete with laser-cut Pipe Werx 'X' logo, this decibel reducer can be quickly and easily removed. The Race (£250 - £490) option is very similar to the SL, but without the removable baffle.
GP3 (£290 - £430) is another race-only application that features a compact design to allow the maximum flow of exhaust gasses for performance gains while keeping decibel levels emitting from its three-inch, laser-cut spout to an acceptable concentration.
The upgrade cans are easy to fit and - like all Pipe Werx exhausts - the replacement cans do not require alterations to the giant 1441 cc engine's fuelling when used with the standard header pipes.
All Pipe Werx exhausts feature a lifetime guarantee and are constructed with 304 grade stainless steel internals.
