smart launches its latest viral campaign, debuting a slick, ground-breaking, action-packed sequence featuring the world's first-ever tandem skateboard.
Developed exclusively for the fast-paced You Tube film, the pioneering tandem skateboard epitomises smart's
nature to go against the grain and take fun to a new level.
Against the modernistic, urban landscape of Barcelona, pro freestyle skateboarders Kilian Martin and Alfredo Urbon push the one-off skateboard through a set of breathtaking twists, turns and flips.
With split-second timing the top skaters pull off a series of previously unseen stunts that are choreographed to an awesome soundtrack by rock artist Hanni El Khatib's You Rascal You.
The film shows the smart fortwo in the end sequence with the accompanying strapline 'fun fortwo' – referencing the link between the iconic brand and the skateboarders. This will be accompanied by behind-the-scenes footage and an interactive game to unlock more stunts.
A 90-second version will also air in cinemas across the UK on September 28.
"The campaign really reflects the fun, individual nature that sets the smart car brand apart, with the message conveyed through a skateboarding world first," said David George, Marketing Director Passenger Cars, Mercedes-Benz UK.
