An outstanding spectacle at the exclusive Hurlingham Club in London was put on to greet the arrival of Maserati's latest stunning creation, the GranTurismo Sport, which was showcased alongside the special edition Bulgari Octo Maserati watch.
The new GranTurismo
Sport is Maserati's latest coupe and offers increased performance and an elegant sporty restyling. Its 4.7-litre V8 now delivers 460 hp and 520 nm of torque and goes from 0-62 mph in 4.7 seconds (4.8 seconds for the MC Shift Auto version). It is available in two versions: the MC Shift featuring a 6-speed manual robotised gearbox with a transaxle layout, and the MC Shift Auto, fitted with a 6-speed automatic gearbox by ZF.
Peter Denton, Head of Sales for Maserati GB, started the evening with a warm welcome and introduction to the new model. The audience was dazzled by the GranTurismo MC Shift in white (Bianco Eldorado) and the MC Shift Auto in the new Blu Sofisticato colour which were on display, and they were equally captivated by the special edition Bulgari Maserati Octo watch.
"Following an overwhelming response to our invitation, this event has given Maserati a perfect environment to showcase the GranTurismo Sport and highlight the many changes that the design team and engineers of Maserati have included in this, the latest GranTurismo model," said Peter Denton.
The event saw more than 350 guests attend, including supermodel and Maserati racing driver Jodie Kidd, clad in a stunning golden mini dress by Fendi and adorned in dazzling Bulgari jewels, Giovanni Soldini, Italy's most revered sailor and skipper of the Maserati VOR 70, legendary racing driver Sir Stirling Moss and Tottenham Hotspur's Italian goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini.
The Maserati GranTurismo Sport MC Shift Auto is on sale with a starting price of £90,750 (on the road) whilst the GranTurismo Sport MC Shift is priced at £94,080 (on the road).
