Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG increased its sales by 16 per cent in July 2012 compared to same month of the previous year: the sports car manufacturer delivered 12,391 new cars to customers worldwide. Porsche has sold a total of 81,562 vehicles (+14 per cent) in the
first seven months of 2012.
"Porsche continued on its successful sales course in July with a strong gain in deliveries. We are confident that we will attain solid global growth figures over the rest of this year as well, despite economic uncertainty in Europe," says Bernhard Maier, Member of the Executive Board Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG.
In July 2012, Porsche recorded gains in all sales regions compared to the same month last year. In Europe, the sports car manufacturer attained 25 per cent growth compared to July 2011, selling 4,594 vehicles. Worldwide sales of the Boxster were especially successful; 1,235 units were sold, representing a 58 per cent increase over last year. The 911 model also continued to enjoy strong demand: in the reference month, 2,079 units of the classic sports car were delivered to customers, which represents a 25 per cent increase.
