A strategic tie-up has been formulated between both the companies to proceed ahead as per which, the
Steelbird range of Helmets will be sold from the Indian Oil Petrol Pumps. An MOU has been signed and first such retail initiative kick started from Ghaziabad in Shastri Nagar area.

IOCL & Steel bird's coming together will reinforce the belief that a helmet is a life saving device & people should go for quality helmets," said Atul Bhatnagar, Deputy General Manager (Retail Sales) Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
Commenting on the strategic tie-up Rajeev Kapur, Managing Director said, "The synergy that exists between the two brands will further create a win-win situation for everyone. The wide network of Indian Oil will help Steelbird to make its product available at the nooks and corners of the country. The consumers will be benefited as they get quality product at their doorsteps."
"Hence if a rider is coming to fuel station, he has an opportunity to hook to products which are time tested, authentic and works as a headgear, saves their precious life in accidents. So I guess there is no place better than this to educate and provide helmets with the best fit," added Kapur.
"In the absence of strict regulation and check on manufacturing and retailing spurious helmets, more than 85 per cent of helmets used by two-wheeler riders across India do not meet ISI standards; the market is flooded with sub-standard products that compromise on safety despite a fourth of all road deaths in the country involving two-wheeler occupants," he further added.
