Thomas-Werner Zahn appointed Head of Sales and Marketing Germany at Volkswagen Passenger Cars

Thomas-Werner Zahn (45) has been appointed Head of Sales and Marketing Germany at Volkswagen Passenger Cars effective September 1, 2012. Zahn succeeds Werner Eichhorn (49), who becomes member of the Board of Management for Sales and Marketing at Skoda

Thomas-Werner Zahn, who qualified as a forwarding agent and also holds a degree in industrial engineering, joined Volkswagen in 1997. Following posts at Controlling of Shanghai Volkswagen and at Sales Asia-Pacific, he spent two years from 2002 in Sales and Marketing at FAW-Volkswagen in Changchun. Zahn held senior posts in Volkswagen’s North West Europe sales region from 2004 to 2010. He has been Deputy Managing Director at Shanghai Volkswagen since 2010. 

Werner Eichhorn joined Volkswagen in Wolfsburg as an apprentice industrial clerk in 1979. Following posts as a marketing planner and regional sales manager for exports at Volkswagen AG, Eichhorn held various positions at Audi AG, including Head of Sales Europe and China and Managing Director of the Audi Division China. Eichhorn has been Head of Sales and Marketing Germany at the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand since 2008.
