Mercedes-Benz UK confirmed its place in the industry's record books with an unprecedented seventh victory in the Fleet Van of the Year category at the annual Motor Transport Awards.
The Awards, which introduced the category ten years ago, took place
at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London and were judged by readers of Motor Transport.
The Sprinter was praised for ticking so many proverbial boxes for the selection panel, including long service intervals, good fuel economy, strong residual values and offering a wide range of weights and Euro-5 engines. In addition, the large panel van was rewarded for being backed by an excellent dedicated Commercial Vehicle dealer network and unrivalled reliability.
Steve Bridge, Van Sales & Marketing Director at Mercedes-Benz UK, collected the award and said of the win, "This is an outstanding achievement to add to an already long list of award wins for the ever-ready Sprinter. The fact that the final judging for the awards was decided by a panel of readers, who are using these vehicles day-in, day-out, is a testament to the genuine affection there is for this tough workhorse."
"Having a team of dedicated specialists working within both the Mercedes-Benz van team and the dealer network, means that our products and services deliver our customers a first class ownership experience. It's an honour to receive this award and we value and take pride in each and every one of them."
The entire Sprinter range comes equipped with a class leading three-year warranty period with unlimited mileage cover and with good reason the Panel vans, Minibuses' and Chassis cabs appeal to fleet operators, retail and family businesses and drivers in equal measure.
