Falken confirmed as factory tyre supplier for Volkswagen Up!

Falken Tyres has announced that it will supply OEM factory fit tyres to the VW Up! city car. VW is thus the first European automobile manufacturer to commit to Falken's high performance products and specify the Japanese tyre producer as an OEM supplier. The announcement
was confirmed at 2012 Reifen Tyre Show in Essen.

"Falken Sincera SN 831A is the perfect all-round tyre. Safe and durable, it offers excellent driving comfort at low noise and is the ideal choice for urban drivers," explains Markus Bogner, Sales Director Falken Tyres Europe GmbH. "Our partnership with the VW Group is also confirmation of the high quality of our tyres and the rising acceptance of our products by the European market."

The VW Up! will be fitted with Falken’s Sincera SN831A 165/70R14 81T, a tyre tailored to the requirements of the novel city car. Volkswagen is the first European vehicle manufacturer to specify factory fit Falken tyres, joining a number of Japanese OEMs to use the Sumitomo Rubber Industries’ brand of tyre.
