Dr. Giuseppe Tartaglione appointed Chairman Corporate Relations of the Volkswagen Group in Italy

Dr. Giuseppe Tartaglione (61) has been appointed to the newly created position of Chairman Corporate Relations in Italy for the Volkswagen Group effective July 1, 2012. To date, Tartaglione has been Member of the Board of Directors and CEO of Volkswagen Group
Italia S.p.A. with headquarters in Verona.


In his new function, Tartaglione will report directly to Dr. Thomas Steg, Tartaglione was born in Italy and holds a doctorate in law. He was a board member of various companies in the automotive industry, including Magneti Marelli and Fiat Powertrain Technologies, before he joined Seat in 2006. He was the member of the Board of Management of Seat responsible for sales and marketing until he was appointed Member of the Board of Directors and CEO of Volkswagen Group Italia in 2007.
