Buoyed by the success of its premium and deluxe segments, India Yamaha Motor has yet again garnered an increase in its sales in April, 2012. The company has recorded a growth of 26,944 units in its domestic market in April 2012 v/s 25,817 units last year thereby
registering a growth of 4.4 per cent. The export figures stood at 9,637 units in April, 2012 while 8,659 motorcycles were exported in April 2011. The overall sales recorded were 36,581 units in April, 2012 vs. 34,476 units in April, 2011, resulting to a growth of 6 per cent.
“We see a lot of potential in the Indian motorcycle market and are continuously making efforts to give the best to our customers. We had entered the financial year on a high note and hope to sustain it throughout the year. Our models - YZF-R15 Version 2.0, FZ-series and SZ-series are doing very well in their respective segments and are playing an instrumental role in driving the sales for our company. Very recently, we also introduced new variants of the FZ-series in order to add freshness to the product and kept in line with our promise to give new to our customers. We are confident that these variants too will be an instant hit among the biking enthusiasts," said Hiroyuki Suzuki, CEO & MD, India Yamaha Motor said.
Yamaha continues to reinforce its relationship with the customers and has launched the ‘Yes! Yamaha’ campaign that endeavors to provide the Best 3S Experience so that the customer always appreciates Yamaha and accepts the brand like the word 'Yes'. The company is making steadfast efforts by conducting various consumer-centric marketing initiatives such as Yamaha R15 One Make Race, Yamaha Safe Riding Science (YSRS) for college students & kids, Yamaha Service Camps to name a few.
This month Yamaha will be conducting the Yamaha Riding Clinic – III in Chennai. Ex MotoGP rider Yoshiaki Kato will be there as an instructor to guide the young racing enthusiasts. Yamaha will also be hosting the Yamaha Asean Cup U-13 Football 2012 in association with The Indian Football Association (West Bengal) early this month to encourage and promote football culture among young kids.
