Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.) has announced a 27 per cent rise in its auto sales numbers, which stood at 40,719 units during April 2012 as against 32,090 units during April 2011.
The company’s domestic sales stood at 39,299 units during April 2012, as against
30,349 units during April 2011, an increase of 29 per cent. The Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes the UVs and Verito) has registered a growth of 33 per cent, having sold 20,558 units in April 2012, as against 15,459 units during April 2011.
Speaking on the performance, Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We are happy to have achieved a growth of 27 per cent during the first month of the new financial year. We are particularly encouraged by the success of all our brands especially Bolero which figures in the top 10 selling passenger vehicles in India. Going forward, we will continue to work towards maintaining this growth momentum."
