The AA is offering complimentary breakdown assistance for all those attending this summer’s Silverstone Classic powered by the AA (July 20-22). The AA’s dedicated festival service will be available at no cost to all those travelling to and from the world’s biggest
classic motor racing festival whether or not already a member of the UK’s leading breakdown service.
Complimentary assistance will cover all areas within Silverstone car parks and surrounding roads within a two miles radius of the circuit and runs from 8.00 AM Friday July 20 to 8.00 PM Sunday, July 22.
A dedicated phone number – 0800 072 3642 – has been set up for festival goers to call should they need help from the AA. The number is also available to those breaking down outside the two-mile radius – they will be offered the chance join the AA on the spot and receive immediate roadside rescue.
“This is real bonus for all those driving to Silverstone and is also another great example of the AA’s increasing involvement in the event,” enthused Nick Wigley, Event Director of the Silverstone Classic. “It’s particularly welcome for the thousands and thousands of classic car enthusiasts for whom this an unmissable weekend. Over the weekend more than 120 motor clubs will be displaying in excess of 7,000 classic cars and for them this special AA offer of free assistance will provide considerable peace of mind.”
