Zipcar appoints Ciara Smyth as Executive Vice-President of Human Resources

Zipcar, Inc. announced the appointment of Ciara Smyth as its EVP of Human Resources. In this role, Smyth will be based in Zipcar's Cambridge, Mass. office and will oversee global talent programs and policies at Zipcar. She will report directly to Scott
Griffith, Zipcar Chairman and CEO.

Smyth brings with her deep human resources experience, most recently in her role as EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company. Prior to Houghton Mifflin, Smyth was EVP of Global Business Operations at Riverdeep, an educational software company.
