Bosch continues to sponsor the Institution of Mechanical Engineers’ (IMechE) Formula Student programme, with specialist division Bosch Engineering GmbH supporting three UK university teams in the 2012 competition.
Formula Student challenges
university students to design, build and compete as a team with their own single-seater racing car, finishing with the Formula Student 2012 final event at Silverstone from July 13-15.
In addition, Bosch’s specialist development division, Bosch Engineering GmbH, is a technical sponsor to three UK university teams in this year’s programme - Brunel Racing, Oxford Brookes Racing and Warwick Racing. Each team is being provided with a development grant for Bosch Motorsport hardware, software and engineering services including track and expert support.
“This year marks our sixth year of sponsoring the IMechE Formula Student event. As a global automotive technology supplier, Bosch fully supports Formula Student and its aim to encourage young people to study engineering and pursue engineering careers," said Jean-Pierre Lihou, Head of Bosch Motorsport UK.
