Volkswagen Annual Report 2011 also available as iPad app

'Experience D(r)iversity' – that is the motto of the Volkswagen Group’s Annual Report 2011. The iPad app version of the report brings a new dimension to the carmaker’s presentation of its vehicles, brands and markets.

Exciting stories from the world of the
Volkswagen Group, informative and entertaining films, sounds, photo galleries and numerous animations invite app users to discover the diversity of the Volkswagen Group in an interactive encounter, transforming the image section of the Annual Report into a multi-media experience and giving shareholders, investors, journalists and the interested public an insight into the company that goes beyond the financial highlights. A financial section specially designed for the tablet computer features a clearly-structured navigation menu that facilitates the systematic retrieval of information.

"The Volkswagen Group not only presents its diversity in its latest Annual Report, but brings this diversity to life through the different forms of media presentation," says Stephan Gruhsem, Head of Group Communications and Investor Relations. "As an innovation and technology leader, we make use of the entire spectrum of electronic media. The iPad opens up completely new opportunities for presenting corporate publications."

The app in English and German will be available from March 12 as a free download from the Apple Store. 3st design agency was responsible for the creative work on the Volkswagen Annual Report app. The agency has also been in charge of the print format of the Volkswagen AG Annual Report since 2007. In recent years, the print version already won several prestigious awards such as the 'red dot award' and the 'iF communication design award'.
