New Delhi. The award conferred by the Honorable President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil comes to Avis India in recognition of its commitment to excellence. This is the second time that the company is winning this prestigious honour.
Also present at the occasion were Subodh Kant Sahai, Honorable Minister for Tourism & Sultan Ahmed, Honorable Union Minister for State of Tourism.
Instituted by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, the National Tourism Awards are the most coveted awards in the travel and tourism industry in India and are presented annually, in various segments of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry. These awards are presented to State Governments/Union Territories, classified hotels, heritage hotels, approved travel agents, tour operators and tourist transport operators, individuals and other private organisations in recognition of their performance in their respective fields and also to encourage healthy competition with an aim to promote tourism.
