from June 2012. The Audi TT was unveiled by Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India.
“Dynamic design, enthralling performance and exemplary efficiency – the Audi TT Coupe is an embodiment of a sports car which perfectly characterizes the core essence of our brand DNA, ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’. The design icon already sports a fascinating and dynamic appearance and has now been revised to be even more expressive. This high performance sports coupe is targeted at individuals who are dynamic and distinct and ones who aim to seek a sense of freedom. While we focus on the sportiness, at the same time we want to offer our customers the highly efficient and dynamic 2.0 TFSI engine. I am confident that the introduction of the Audi TT will further help us consolidate our leadership position in the sports car segment," said Michael Perschke.
The TT Coupe has grown by nearly two centimeters and now measures 4,187 mm in length, 1,842 mm in width and height of 1,353 mm. The wheelbase measures 2,468 mm.
Drivetrain
Audi offers the TT Coupe in India with 2.0 TFSI engine which combines sporty performance with groundbreaking efficiency. New to the TT is the 2.0 TFSI with 155 kw (211 hp) and 350 nm of torque at 1,600-4,200 rpm. The quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system is standard for the 2.0 TFSI with the S tronic. With this combination, it sprints 0-100 km/hr in just 5.6 seconds.
Ground-breaking efficiency
A key factor for the groundbreaking efficiency and excellent driving dynamics of the TT is the body, which features hybrid Audi Space Frame technology (ASF). The body of the coupe weighs only 206 kg, with 140 kg of aluminum and 66 kg of steel.
InteriorThe interior of the TT features a sporty design, dynamic elegance and uncompromising fit and finish. Accents are provided by new aluminum-look applications and rings, frames and strips in high-gloss black. The leather seat covers are specially treated to reduce thermal heating by as much as 20-degrees-celsius when the TT is parked in the sun.
The TT Coupe comes with a wide array of standard equipment. Among the highlights are the symphony audio system, a driver information system and an automatic climate control system. The onboard computer with efficiency program comes standard in the TT. It presents all consumption-relevant data on the central display, and gives tips for efficient driving.
