AMW Auto Components wins Volkswagen Brazil wheel rim order

AMW Auto Components recently won a prestigious, multi-million dollar order from Volkswagen Brazil for the supply of wheel rims from 2013. This order was won despite stiff competition from
global and local manufacturers. AMW Auto Components is the first Indian company to win an order directly from Volkswagen Brazil.

The company also produced a record 200,000 wheel rims during February 2012, its highest ever monthly productionsince the start of commercial production in 2010.

Having built up a wealth of technical expertise at its world class plant at Bhuj, the company has been able to grow its exports over the past few years. Last year, AMW Auto Components won fresh orders from reputed global OEMs such as GM Brazil and Iveco Brazil.

The company has a sharp focus on operational excellence and has invested heavily in world class technology. Both these factors have helped drive sales which are expected to reach 2 million units during the current fiscal year. This number is expected rise substantially to 5-million units during the next financial year based on confirmed orders.
