The North West today saw the first official convoy of the new rugby league Eddie Stobart trucks – making its way from Stobart Ports in Widnes to the Theatre of Dreams, Old Trafford in Manchester – to launch the new Stobart Super League.
Ahead of
this Friday’s opening fixture between Widnes Vikings and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, the official rugby league season launch took place today, with 15 Eddie Stobart trucks lining up outside Old Trafford to welcome the Stobart Super League’s 14 teams into the 2012 season.
Each of the teams has a dedicated Eddie Stobart trailer design, with an all-team captains’ line up making up the 15 new designs for the Stobart Super League 2012 fleet of 100 trucks.
It was announced last week that Stobart Group has partnered with the RFL in a pioneering cross-marketing deal to secure title naming rights to the Super League.
Stobart Group CEO Andrew Tinkler said, “Stobart Group wishes each of the 14 teams competing in the Stobart Super League 2012 the very best of luck – we can’t wait to get started and for our new branded trailers to hit the road.”
