Citroen berlingo delivers the goods for FPS again & again

Automotive aftermarket parts distributor Ferraris Piston Services (FPS) has ordered 122 Citroen Berlingo HDi 75 manual L1 625 LX vans ready painted in its distinctive Peppermint Green livery. Delivery of these new Berlingos started at the beginning of 2012
and the vans will be used to distribute automotive parts to some 2,500 motor factor customers from 20 FPS depots spread across the UK.

Stuart Collett, Fleet Manager at FPS, says his vans make up to six deliveries each day and cover around 50,000 miles per year. He replaces about half of the 300-strong FPS fleet every year. 

Following last year’s FPS order for 163 Citroen Berlingo LX vans, StuartCollett has again specified this model for 2012. The Berlingo LX offers the versatility of its standard fit, multi-function, fold-flat Extenso dual-passenger seat. Collett says, “Enables the Berlingo to accommodate complete exhaust systems inside the van with the rear doors closed." The FPS vans also include factory fitted half-height bulkheads and the supplying Citroen dealer, Lookers of Newport, will be fitting removable plywood lining to the load area.

He also welcomes the fuel saving and productivity benefits provided by the Berlingo’s standard specification Trafficmaster Smartnav dynamic satellite navigation system with Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking. FPS operates the new Berlingos on Inchcape, two year/100,000 mile contract hire agreements.
