Tata AIG powered the recently concluded Auto Car Awards held at the Taj Land’s End, Bandra. The Auto Car Awards 2012 had the who’s who of the Auto circuit in attendance. The Auto Car Awards powered by Tata AIG General Insurance, honour the best in class vehicles launched by the
industry in the last year. Over the past three years Auto Car Awards have grown in popularity and prominence and is widely accepted as an award of stature in the automotive space.
The event gave out awards across 24 different categories ranging from viewers choice bike/car of the year to best value for money car etc. This year Tata AIG instituted an additional award in recognition of the ‘Best Car Dealer of the Year’ which was won by Sai Service Station. This award was presented by Kaushal K. Mishra, Executive Vice-President and Kurush J. Daruwalla, Executive Vice-President, Tata AIG General Insurance Company Ltd.
Gaurav D. Garg, CEO & Managing Director, Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited presented the ‘Best Car Manufacturer’ award to Toyota Motors. Volkswagen ‘Blue Motion Technology’ was conferred the Green Award for 2012 and was presented by M Ravichandran, Senior Vice-President Commercial Lines and Madhukar Sinha, National Head Personal Lines, Tata AIG General Insurance Company Ltd. These awards were in line with the best of service insurance products that the company has to offer for Auto customers. Tata AIG offers comprehensive insurance cover for personal car, commercial vehicle and two-wheeler categories. This not only covers third party liability but also covers any loss or damage to ones’ vehicle. Motor insurance is a key focus for Tata AIG and one of its most vibrant business lines.
The event was attended by several dignitaries like Narain Karthikeyan, the first Indian to compete in the coveted Formula 1 and Hormzad Sorabjee, Editor, Auto Car India who has been writing about cars for the last 25 years. Packed with non-stop entertainment, the event was also attended by telly stalwart Tarun Katiyal and actor Neil Nitin Mukesh. With increased competition in the auto sector the Auto Car Awards can only get more exciting in 2012 and Tata AIG will continue to support initiatives such as the Auto Car Awards that recognise the best in the industry.
